Noel Robins OAM, one of Australia's most respected and experienced competitive sailors, who died last night.

Federal Minister for the Arts and Sport, Senator Rod Kemp, today paid tribute to
Noel Robins OAM, one of Australia's most respected and experienced competitive sailors, who died last night.
'I was deeply saddened to hear of Noel's death and I pass on my condolences to his family,' Senator Kemp said.
'Noel was an accomplished sailor who led the Australian sailing team to a gold medal victory in the 2000 Paralympics.
'He served on the Australian National Maritime Museum's governing Council from 1998, and made an significant contribution to the museum's activities,' Senator Kemp said.
'He will be greatly missed by all who knew him but we will always remember his energy and his indomitable spirit.
'Noel has left a lasting legacy for sailing in Australia, including playing a key role in the defence of the America's Cup in 1987.
Mr Robins was a commissioner of the Western Australian Waters and Rivers Commission and a board member of the Western Australian ParaQuad Association.
