Senate Order on Departmental Contracts
The Senate Order on departmental and agency contracts (4 December 2003) requires online publication of the details of contracts with a value of $100 000 or more. This list of contracts includes the estimated cost of compliance with the Senate Order and links to other relevant FMA agencies that post their own lists.
Funding reporting
The Finance Ministers Instruction of 14 December 2007 required agencies to publish the details of their individual discretionary grants on their web sites with 48 hours of the announcement or awarding of the grant.
From 1 January 2009 this has been replaced with a requirement for agencies to publish details of all grants on their website within seven days of the signing of the grant agreement.
A grant is a sum of money given to organisations or individuals for a specified purpose directed at achieving goals and objectives consistent with government policy.
