Legal services expenditure 2010–11
In 2010–11 the department's expenditure on external legal services was $3 681 438 exclusive of GST. Expenditure on internal legal services was $3 959 566 exclusive of GST.
Regulatory plan 2011-12
The department's regulatory plan for 2011–12 includes primary legislation, subordinate legislation, quasi-regulation or treaties that directly affect business or have significant indirect effects on business, or restrict competition (including Completed Regulatory Activities 2010–11 and planned regulatory activities for 2011–12).
Senate order on departmental contracts
The Senate order on departmental and agency contracts (4 December 2003) requires online publication of the details of contracts with a value of $100 000 or more. This list of contracts includes the estimated cost of compliance with the Senate Order and links to other relevant FMA agencies that post their own lists.
Funding reporting
The Finance Minister's Instruction of 14 December 2007 required agencies to publish the details of their individual discretionary grants on their web sites within 48 hours of the announcement or awarding of the grant.
From 1 January 2009 this has been replaced with a requirement for agencies to publish details of all grants on their website within seven days of the signing of the grant agreement.
A grant is a sum of money given to organisations or individuals for a specified purpose directed at achieving goals and objectives consistent with government policy.
