Project overview and objectives

Justice Health fulfils a vital role in improving the health status of those who come into contact with the criminal justice system.

This project will work to implement broadband-enabled medical records, telehealth services, provide access to digital medical imaging, upgrade current network infrastructure and allow for vital health training for nurses and other medical professionals across Justice Health’s rural, regional and remote facilities.

This project also seeks to provide these vital health services for the family members of incarcerated individuals and to populations at-risk of incarceration.

By providing quality healthcare to those with some of the poorest health status in the state, Justice Health is working to reduce the occurrence of chronic disease, alcoholism, drug addiction, improve mental health and work to reduce the rate of recidivism.
