  On 12 May 2009, the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy, released a policy response - Strengthening our National Broadcasters - highlighting the future funding and directions for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and Special Broadcasting Service (SBS).
