Interactive Gambling Industry Code

The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA) established a requirement for the internet industry to develop a code of practice pertaining to designated internet gambling matters. This link sends you off DBCDE's websiteThe Interactive Gambling Industry Code (the Code) was developed by the Internet Industry Association and registered with the Australian Broadcasting Authority (now the Australian Communication and Media Authority) on 13 December 2001. The Code provides procedures to be followed by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in relation to internet gambling content hosted outside Australia. The Code also makes provision for ISPs to provide their customers with one of the approved filters listed in Schedule 1 of the Code.
