The Australian Broadband Guarantee is an Australian Government initiative that provides all Australian residents with equitable access to metro-comparable broadband services. Broadband internet service providers are invited to apply for this registration round for the Australian Broadband Guarantee program.

Applications deadline update
The Department confirms that applications need to be lodged by Friday 31 October 2008. The Department appreciates that uncertainty regarding potential service areas may affect the ability of some applicants to finalise all aspects of their applications. Accordingly, applications that are incomplete, to the extent that some information is contingent upon potential service areas being confirmed, will be accepted and the Department will work with those applicants to resolve outstanding information requirements expeditiously.
A copy of the email that was sent to interested parties is provided below.
As previously stated, applicants must provide two unbound, signed and dated copies of the application and all other supporting documentation, and one complete electronic copy on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM.
Electronic documents must be provided in a Microsoft-compatible format or be accessible using Microsoft tools. If submitting geo-spatial information such as maps, this information should be provided in MapInfo TAB file format.
Applications received by email will not be accepted.
The Department will advise applicants by email on the receipt of an application. If you have not received an email acknowledgement within five working days of lodging your application, please contact the Department immediately at the address below.
