Leading Australian expert to address public forum on mobile phones and health issues
The Faculty of Life and Social Sciences and the Australian Centre for Radiofrequency Bioeffects Research (ACRBR) will host SW08: Wireless and Health "Unplugged and uncertain?" at Swinburne University, Melbourne, on November 12th, 2008, from 5.00 - 9.30pm.
AMTA and Local Councils meet in the Silver City

No increase in rate of mobile premium service complaints, but industry committed to address issues
The rate of consumer complaints about mobile premium services has not increased this year, according to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman’s (TIO) report released today.
Mobile phone industry releases consumer tips for premium SMS/MMS services
The Australian mobile telecommunications industry has released a new guide to assist consumers gain affordable and responsible access to premium SMS/MMS services.The Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA), Chris Althaus, said the tips on accessing premium services were designed to give consumers practical advice on the dos and don’ts of signing up and to manage their useage.
