Spyware discussion paper

On 20 May 2005 the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, Senator the Hon. Helen Coonan, released a discussion paper on spyware.

Submissions to the discussion paper closed on 17 June 2005.

The Government is currently examining the submissions with a view to developing a practical response to deal with spyware that will target spyware in a way that does not constrain the use of beneficial or legitimate software.
