The Australian Government allocated $3.2 million over four years in the 2006–07 Budget for the Consumer Representation and Research Grants program.
Under the Consumer Representation element of the program, grants of financial assistance are made to consumer bodies to support consumer representation in the telecommunications sector. The primary objectives of this program are:
