The following is information on the 2004 review of the Universal Service Obligation and Customer Service Guarantee, undertaken by the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts.
The 2007 review is currently underway and was announced by the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts on 27 June 2007.
Universal Service Obligation Review 2007
On 17 June 2004, the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, tabled the report of the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts into the universal service obligation arrangements and the Customer Service Guarantee in Parliament.
