The current format of constant programme interruptions by advertisements is unacceptable to viewers of SBS. Commercial breaks at the beginning and end of programmes can be tolerated. We members of the public do not want to see SBS become just another commercial channel. SBS management and indeed the government should have more pride and dignity in the channel which represents them. We would not like to see programming quality sink to the level of the commercial channels with many instances of inane and uncultured presentations.

If SBS is to become the slave to the 'bottom line' then it might as well throw away its charter and mission statement and wallow in the mire of commercialism. We refuse to join you there
