Project overview and objectives
The Greater Western Area Health Service Clinical Outreach Program project will upgrade broadband infrastructure and roll out clinical applications to public hospitals in the Greater Western New South Wales area.
The project will upgrade broadband infrastructure in 46 public hospital and health sites across the Greater Western area and support the roll-out of innovative health management and diagnostic applications to 48 regional and rural health care facilities.
A number of hospitals in this region, including the Orange Base Hospital and Condobolin, Coonamble, Cowra, and Rylstone district hospitals, will benefit from investment in network upgrades and the deployment of innovative e-health applications.
These online capabilities will vastly improve the accessibility of patients to timely and high quality treatment.
This project with the Greater Southern Area Health Service, Hunter New England Area Health Service and North Coast Area Health Service will cover 90 per cent of the geographic area of New South Wales.
