Convergence Review
Since the mid 1990s, convergence has continued to take a hold on the media and telecom industries, and hence, the response to convergence is not so much to be decided in terms of whether, but when.

The Convergence Review is an independent review established by the Australian Government to examine the policy and regulatory frameworks that apply to the converged media and communications landscape in Australia.
The Convergence Review Committee is chaired by Glen Boreham with Malcolm Long and Louise McElvogue as committee members.

Convergence Review Interim Report
Summary: On 15 December 2011, the committee released the Convergence Review Interim Report. The report sets out the committee's vision for fundamental change to the regulatory framework of Australia's digital economy, and identifies key areas for reform.

Convergence Review detailed discussion papers
On 19 September 2011, the committee released five detailed discussion papers to address a range of issues and options for consideration by the committee and stakeholders. Submissions on the detailed discussion papers closed on 28 October 2011.
