Twitter policy for the Independent Media Inquiry
You can follow the Independent Media Inquiry on Twitter. Our Twitter handle is @AusMediaInquiry
How we manage the account
The Independent Media Inquiry secretariat actively manages the accounts.
We publish tweets to share information and promote engagement. This mainly involves publishing status updates and information.
If you send the secretariat a message or question, either publicly or via direct message, the team managing the accounts will endeavour to provide factual responses by the next business day. Please note that we regard Twitter conversations as relatively informal, similar to a telephone conversation. As a general rule, we will monitor the channel during business hours only.
Contacting us via our Twitter account is not the best way to send through a formal enquiry or submission. If you have a formal request, submission or enquiry, please contact us as usual via media-inquiry@dbcde.gov.au.
If you have feedback for other government agencies, including those who we mention, you should send your feedback to them directly. We will not routinely contact other agencies to share any comments about them that you send to us.
Your privacy
Be aware that Twitter is a public space on the internet and, unless you mark your account as private or send direct messages, all interaction is publicly viewable and searchable. To learn more about keeping your accounts private, read this help page provided by Twitter: http://support.twitter.com/entries/14016-about-public-and-protected-accounts
