Project achievements
The Bush Medivac WA project aimed to improve the communication network used to deliver health and emergency services by agencies/volunteers organisations in regional and remote areas of Western Australia. The project has achieved this through:
- improved voice and data communication capabilities of all major health and emergency service organisations in previously unserviced, or under-serviced areas in remote and rural Western Australia
- enabling a coordinated approach for all health and emergency service organisations towards dealing with non-major emergency incidents in regional and remote communities of Western Australia
- enabling ‘First-in-Medical Assistance’ by health organisations to provide proactive medical advice and health consultation.
