Project achievements
The Clever Training project used advanced broadband technology to break down the barrier of distance that limits access to technical education for students in regional, rural and remote South Australia.
The project extended videoconferencing classes offered by the regional arm of TAFE SA, enabling regional and remote students to access them at home/business using a PC or a 3G telephone.
This project increased participation in TAFE SA Regional courses by farmers and small business operators in regional, rural and remote areas of South Australia, encouraged retention of young people in regional areas of the state, and is archiving courses for later access by students outside the TAFE SA Regional campus network.
The ‘TAFE @ Your PC’ system is in regular use by students across regional, rural and remote South Australia.
