Website better reflects Department’s key role

The Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy has re‑designed its website to better reflect the Department's role in delivering major initiatives such as the National Broadband Network and the switch to digital television.

Department Secretary, Peter Harris, said the re-designed website greatly improves public access to information as well as enhancing communication channels and search abilities.

“The website is intuitive and offers visitors a highly responsive service. These changes make information about the Government's programs and policies easier to find,” Mr Harris said.

The new website design includes modern online technologies, services and functions including:

  • Public access to departmental news, the Minister's media releases and speeches as RSS feeds.
  • Dynamic news features on the home page to provide public information and updates about the Department.
  • A Google search engine to make key information more accessible on the website.

The Department's website can be viewed at www.dbcde.gov.au
