International cooperation
Spam is a global problem that requires a global solution. International cooperation is a vital part of the Australian multi-layered approach to spam.
Since the introduction of the Spam Act a number of international anti-spam information sharing and enforcement arrangements have been established with other governments and agencies.
Australia is actively involved in the anti-spam activities of the
Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the
International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
