Indigenous Broadcasting Program
The 2012–13 Indigenous Broadcasting Program funding round is now closed. The funding round for 2013–14 will open at the end of 2012.
Transfer of responsibility for the Indigenous Broadcasting Program
On 1 July 2011 the responsibility for the Indigenous Broadcasting Program (IBP) transferred from the Office for the Arts to the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy. This transfer occurred in response to a recommendation made by the Review of Australian Government Investment in Indigenous Broadcasting and Media Sector 2010. The program is co-managed by the department and the Office for the Arts (within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet) through local National Network Offices.
Further information on the review is available from the Indigenous Broadcasting Review page.
