The ‘Access to Electronic Media for the Hearing and Vision Impaired: Approaches for Consideration’ report released in November 2009 summarised developments in the fields of captioning and audio description for free-to-air and subscription television, DVDs, films in cinemas and audio-visual content on the internet. The report is part of an investigation into the accessibility of electronic media for people with a hearing or vision impairment.
